An exciting adventure story set in the 1950s, about the kidnapping of Miss Bleu, a pretty young opera singer, and the efforts of two gallant friends, Wesley and Widget to rescue her.

The action begins in Liverpool then to London. The unexpected arrival of a French violin playing person soon takes us to the back streets of Paris at night, a carnival in Florence, and a chase across sun baked Tuscany.

Arnold, the old stage door keeper at the Gaiety Theatre in Liverpool, may, or may not, be trustworthy, it’s hard to tell when von Herbil, who signs his name Gerbil, is involved.
