The Cats of ‘Tower View’.
Black as night And black as coal, Went walking out one day, To battle in the orchard, A rat and mouse to slay! They creep with stealth So carefully, So silently they come Except old Zeus, he farted, Made noises with his bum. "Be silent", hissed Apollo "I think I smell a rat" Zeus looked bemused, saw nothing, Only smelled a cat. Noiselessly they glided Together down the path, Rats, up a tree, were watching And having quite a laugh. Rats who watch are always there Roaming wide and free, Sneaking down a drainpipe Watching through a periscope Hiding in a flower pot Or laughing up a tree "Supper time" shouts Mistress Bleu Rattling their tin "Zeus, Apollo, leave that rat,- It's raining, come on in!"
